Landslide-EVO fieldwork in Nepal

The SHEAR programme is supporting world-leading research to enhance the quality, availability and use of risk information and early warning systems.

The research component is comprised of four consortia projects, bringing together multi-disciplinary academic knowledge and practitioner expertise and experience to investigate the factors affecting vulnerability and resilience to natural hazards.

Supporting these four main projects are 13 studentships that will enhance the impact of SHEAR beyond the duration of the programme, and 10 to 12 catalyst grants for research projects which focus on weather-related hazards.
